The Doula Photographer.

I always knew I wanted to be a birth worker when my beautiful sister gave birth to my niece 17 years ago. She was a teen mother, and needed the support during and after her birth. I was always the friend who was asked to be in the room when they gave birth. I always advocated when I knew somethings were not right. I was tired of seeing the black mortality rate rising during childbirth and I knew it was time to step in and make a difference. With every birth I've been apart of, each of them left the hospital with a sense of empowerment and healthy babies.
